Unique forms Saudi engineering support centers

Offshore staff

SHARJAH, UAE – Subsea/offshore services provider Unique Group is opening two new facilities in Riyadh and Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

The company says it is responding to demand for products and support services to be provided locally. It will create 10 engineering roles next year, some filled by Saudi nationals, in line with Saudi Arabia’s drive to increase opportunities for its indigenous workforce.

The Riyadh office is already open while the Dammam facility will follow in early 2016. Both will provide services offered by Unique Group’s five divisions: Survey Equipment; Marine & Subsea; Buoyancy & Ballast; Diving Equipment; and On-site Engineering.

These new bases should also open opportunities for Unique Group’s recently-acquired GSE Rentals, a rental specialist of geophysical, hydrographic and oceanographic marine survey equipment.
