Transocean nets four-well drilling contract offshore Norway

TRONDHEIM, Norway – Det norske oljeselskap has contracted the semisubmersible Transocean Arctic to drill four wells in the Alvheim area of the Norwegian North Sea.

The contract, likely to run for 250 days from the start date of December 2016, is valued at $44.75 million excluding options.

It involves drilling one exploration well (West Volund in license 150B) and three production wells (two in license 150 and one in license 203/088BS).
