Tendeka expands downhole R&D, testing in Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, UK – Completions systems specialist Tendeka has invested in a new facility in Aberdeen.

The Advanced Completions Technology and Training Centre will allow the company to further development of wireless intelligent completions, reservoir monitoring technologies, and advanced data management software solutions. 

The 8,500-sq ft (790-sq m) facility comprises an R&D assembly and testing area for performance and extended life qualification testing, engineering offices.

In addition, Tendeka has opened a new swellable elastomer laboratory at another premises in Aberdeen. This will be used to develop elastomers for extreme applications in swellable packers, with features including compound mixers, mills and extruders.

Additionally, the company plans performance testing at well conditions.
