KUALA LUMPUR, MalaysiaSapuraKencana Energy (SKE) has approval from Petronas for its development plan for the SK310 B15 gas field offshore Sarawak.

This clears SKE to start the development with a view to achieving first gas during 4Q 2017.

B15 was discovered in December 2010 in the SK310 production-sharing contract area. SKE plans a central processing platform with a 35-km (21.7-mi) gas export pipeline tied into existing infrastructure.

The field should deliver 100 MMcf/d to the Petronas LNG complex in Bintulu, Sarawak.

SKE operates the concession in partnership with Petronas Carigali and Mitsubishi subsidiary Diamond Energy Sarawak.
