Rosneft progresses Russian Arctic seismic acquisition

MOSCOWRosneft has issued an update on its recent exploration programs on its offshore licenses in Russia’s Arctic region.

During 3Q, the company acquired more than 9,600 km (5,965 mi) of 2D seismic in the Laptev, Kara, and Chuckchi seas, and stepped up 3D seismic acquisition by 2.2% (compared to 2Q).

In addition, Rosneft completed engineering research at the South-Russkoye license area in the Pechora Sea ahead of schedule, obtaining all required data for exploration. The company estimates recoverable reserves in the study area at 269.8 MMt of crude oil and condensate and 64.1 bcm of gas.
