PSA sanctions operations through Edvard Grieg gas pipeline offshore Norway

OSLO, Norway – Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has granted its consent for Norwegian trunklines operator Gassco to use the new Utsira High gas pipeline.

The 94-km (58-mi) rich gas pipeline runs from the Edvard Grieg field, 57 km (35 mi) north of Sleipner in the northern Norwegian North Sea, and connects to the SAGE trunkline in the UK offshore sector. Its technical capacity is 5 MMcm/d.

Gassco is the operator for the Utsira High Gas Pipeline joint venture and technical operations provider for the pipeline.
