Motor fault impacts Alvheim production offshore Norway

TRONDHEIM, NorwayProduction through the Alvheim FPSO in the North Sea will be restricted for the next four weeks, according to operator Det norske oljeselskap.

This is due to the need to replace a high voltage drive motor for one of the gas export compressors, following an electrical fault.

Currently, production is being optimized to suit the capacity of the other gas export compressor, Det norske adds.
