Monadelphous to maintain Prelude LNG facilities

SYDNEY, Australia – Monadelphous Group (ASX:MND) has won a long-term maintenance and modifications services contract for with Shell’s Prelude FLNG project offshore northwest Australia valued at more than $200 million.

Prelude is in the Browse basin, 475 km (295 mi) north-northeast of Broome.

Monadelphous will provide maintenance, brownfield modifications, and turnaround services to the LNG process plant, support utilities, hull and non-process infrastructure including accommodation and control rooms.

Additionally, it will deliver fabrication services from Darwin in support of offshore operations.

The contract runs initially for seven years with two two-year extension options. It is expected to create employment openings for local and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
