Lundin drills new target south of Bertam oil field offshore Malaysia

STOCKHOLM, Sweden – The jackup West Prospero has spudded the Selada-1 exploration well in block PM308A offshore Peninsular Malaysia.

Operator Lundin Malaysia is targeting hydrocarbons in Miocene age sands, 14 km (8.7 mi) south of its Bertam oil field production complex.

Drilling is expected to last around 30 days, with an anticipated TD of 1,700 m (5,577 ft) below mean sea level.
