VIENNA, AustriaExxonMobil and OMV’s deepwater exploration program continues in the Romanian sector of the Black Sea.

In the current campaign in the Neptun block, the duo have completed the Pelican South-1, Dolphin-1, Flamingo-1 and Califar-1 wells, while operations are in progress on the Domino-4 well.

OMV says the results of drilling so far, and data from the forthcoming exploration activities, will be used to evaluate the block’s full potential. Domino is thought to have been a potentially major gas discovery.
