RIO DE JANEIRO Petrobras says a strike by oil workers’ unions in Brazil is affecting its operations.

Yesterday, the company predicted its oil output will have fallen by 8.5% compared with pre-strike levels, with gas availability down by 13%.

Petrobras adds that it is taking measures to ensure the maintenance of its operations, the preservation of its installations and the safety of its workers and insists that distribution of oil and gas is functioning normally, with no market shortages.
