Archer upgrades cementing technique

HAMILTON, BermudaArcher has introduced a version of its multi-stage cementing Cflex technology.

The Cflex MKII-F provides a flexible annulus cement base, and according to Archer offers enhanced cement direction control, an improved method of retaining cement, minimization of cement contamination, and reduced operational requirements.

Hugo Idsoe, vice president Archer Oiltools, said: “The V0 certified product has a built-in fundament that is activated during the opening of the cement ports. This key feature helps operators secure the integrity of wells when the formation has weak zones that prevent desired cement height.”

Cflex technology, certified “gas tight” under ISO 14310/14998 V0, and with a two-stage permanent lock system, can be installed at one or more casing joints.
