PERTH, Australia – Woodside Energy has issued an update on various field development programs it is participating in offshore Western Australia.
The Wheatstone LNG project, focused on the Wheatstone and Iago fields, comprises an offshore platform, a pipeline to shore and an onshore plant. The project is more than 65% complete and first gas is due in late 2016.
The Woodside-operated Julimar project, taking in the Julimar and Brunello fields, ties into the Wheatstone offshore platform and is also on schedule for start-up during 2H 2016.
During August, the proposed 70-MMboe Greater Enfield development entered the front-end engineering and design (FEED) phase. The partners plan to tieback the Laverda and Cimatti oil fields through a 31-km (19-mi) flowline to the Ngujima-Yin FPSO.
Contracts have been issued for subsea hardware, FPSO modifications engineering and procurement, shipyard support, and geophysical and geotechnical surveys. The partners are targeting a final investment decision (FID) during 2H 2016.
Subsea installation and pipeline pre-commissioning activities have been completed for the Greater Western Flank Phase 1 project. Commissioning is under way, as drilling and completion activities on the wells, and first gas should flow in late 2015.
As for the Phase 2 development, chief design and assurance activities have been completed and FID is expected to follow shortly, pending regulatory approvals.
FEED activities continue to support a planned FID for Lambert Deep during in 1H 2016. The proposed development is a one-well, subsea tieback to the Angel platform.
