US offshore rig count gives back gain from previous week

HOUSTON The Baker Hughes Weekly Rig Count has found that the offshore US count has given back the three rigs it gained last week, and now stands at a total of 30 rigs. This is 31 rigs fewer than at this time in the previous year.

The total US rig count in the report stands at 809, or 29 fewer than in the prior week. This is 1,113 rigs below the count a year ago at this time.

The Canadian rig count is up three to 179 rigs this week, down from 430 total last year.
