Total sells Gina Krog stake to Tellus Petroleum

PARIS – Total has agreed to sell a 15% interest in the Gina Krog field in the Norwegian North Sea to Tellus Petroleum for NOK 1.4 billion ($172 million), subject to approval by Norway.

Gina Krog is under development and expected to start producing in 2017.

Upon sale close, Total will retain a 15% interest with partners Statoil (58.7% and the operator), Tellus Petroleum (15%), PGNIG Upstream International (8%), and Det norske oljeselskap (3.3%).
