ASKER, Norway – PGS has completed a multi-client 3D seismic survey over the Flemish Pass region offshore eastern Canada.

Partner TGS expects to issue final data from the 4,372-sq km (1,688-sq mi) survey next summer.

Later this month, the same partnership should finish another 3D survey in covering 4,800 sq km (1,853 sq mi) offshore Newfoundland, and three 2D surveys in the same region using two vessels for a total of around 28,000 km (17,398 mi).

This summer TGS started the second season of a multi-year 2D acquisition program offshore northeast Greenland. Ice conditions and operational performance have been favorable, allowing the company to acquire 7,300 km (4,536 mi) until acquisition ended on Oct. 13, in addition to the 5,400 km (3,355 mi) shot last year.

This leaves 1,800 km (1,118 mi) to be acquired during 2016.
