Subsea 7, Granherne to provide FEED for Butch offshore Norway

Offshore staff

LUXEMBOURG – Centrica Norge has awarded Subsea 7 a five-year contract to support its early-phase concept engineering, front-end engineering and design, SURF project execution, and life-of-field operations offshore Norway.

The agreement carries options for further extensions.

Centrica is seeking development solutions that minimize complexity, cost, and risk in order to deliver sanctionable business cases, Subsea 7 said.

The contractor will conduct a front-end engineering and design study for the planned subsea tieback of Centrica’s Butch field to BP’s Ula platform complex in the North Sea.

It will perform the study jointly with Granherne.
