Offshore Guinea-Bissau 3D seismic campaign targets shelf-edge structures

Offshore staff

MELBOURNE, Australia – A newly agreed extension to the exploration term for three blocks offshore Guinea-Bissau is due to start on Nov. 25, according to partner FAR.

The company and operator/partner Svenska has acquired additional 3D seismic over the shelf edge to image prospects that may be analogous to the deepwater SNE oil discovery offshore Senegal.

This should improve evaluation of the large Atum prospect that was previously only part-covered by 3D data. Processed seismic will be delivered during the current quarter.
