Murphy orders subsea hardware for Rotan offshore Malaysia

FORNEBU, NorwayMurphy Sabah Oil has contracted Aker Solutions to supply the subsea production system for the deepwater Rotan gas field development offshore Malaysia.

The scope includes equipment for four subsea wells, a hub manifold, in-line tees, a connection system, and a production control system.

First deliveries are scheduled for 2Q 2016.

Aker Solutions has worked previously with Murphy on the Kikeh oil and gas project, Malaysia’s first deepwater development, and the Siakap North-Petai oil and gas field tieback to Kikeh.

Both fields are in block K offshore Borneo, East Malaysia.
