Keel laid for EXMAR floating storage and regasification vessel

SHANGHAI, ChinaWison Offshore & Marine has staged a ceremony at its drydock in Nantong, China, to mark keel-laying of the EXMAR floating storage and regasification vessel.

This is a non-propelled, barge-based floating LNG regasification unit. Wison is the turnkey engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning contractor.

The FSRU will feature two regasification plants with respective capacity of 400 MMcf/d and 200 MMcf/d. Two 13,160-cu m (464,741-cu ft) SPB cargo tanks will be placed in the hull for LNG storage.

There will also be an accommodation block for 28 people.
