Eni completes swift tie-in for Nooros offshore Egypt

MILAN, ItalyEni has completed a fasttrack development of a recent gas/condensates discovery in shallow water in Egypt’s Nile Delta region.

Nooros in the Abu Madi West license was put into production in two months through a tie-in to the Abu Madi gas treatment plant, 25 km (15.5 mi) from the field.

Earlier this year, Eni increased its Egyptian offshore acreage following the award of the Karawan and North Leil blocks in the Mediterranean Sea and stakes in the North El Hammad (operated) and North Ras El Esh concessions.

Offshore Angola, Eni has gained sanction for a three-year extension of the exploration period for deepwater block 15/06.

The company delivered first oil from the block’s West Hub development project at the end of 2014.
