Offshore staff

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Spinner, an exhibitor at the Deep Offshore Technology International conference and exhibition, featured its fiber optic rotary joints, which can be offered in combinations together with other rotary joints, slip rings, media joints, and more.

According to Spinner, these rotary joints have a low insertion loss and high return loss values. It is possible to incorporate specialized fibers, including those suitable for high temperature application or large core fibers, into the product. The high fiber rotary joint also features IP code protection for harsh environmental applications and hydrostatic pressure capability for deepwater application.

Spinner representatives were also discussing the company’s new dual channel fiber optic rotary joint, with a modular design approach that allow customers to use specific flange modifications, connector types, fiber lengths, and more.

The Munich-based company said that it provides the precision mechanics and optical parts for the product from a single source.
