THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Dr. Pedro Silva-Lopez, chief technology officer of PEMEX, will be the keynote speaker at the 2015 Deep Offshore Technology International Conference and Exhibition (DOT), which is scheduled for Oct. 13-15.

He will kick off DOT by speaking to the ongoing energy reforms in Mexico and what he sees in store for the future of deepwater development. Pulling from his experience, he will share insights on the important opportunities that are now available for new players and how PEMEX is transforming to face this new market.

“The eyes of the oil and gas industry are on Mexico as they implement sweeping reforms to energy policy and open production to new operators,” said David Paganie, Chief Editor of Offshore magazine and International Conference Director of PennWell’s Offshore Group. “These changes are at the forefront of the agenda for DOT, and PEMEX’s Dr. Pedro Silva-Lopez is the ideal speaker to open the conference.”
