Bureau Veritas issues design approval for FLNG containment system

PARISBureau Veritas has issued design approval for the new Mark V LNG membrane containment system designed by France’s GTT. This clears the way for the system to be used in new FLNGs and LNG carriers.

The Mark V design includes double insulation with reinforced polyurethane foam. It also has a nickel-steel alloy corrugated secondary membrane and improves the warranted daily boil-off rate.
