AziLat joins ExxonMobil in two blocks offshore Brazil

HAMILTON, BermudaAziLat Partners and Seacrest Capital Group have agreed to acquire from OGX Petróleo e Gás S.A. full interest in two blocks offshore Brazil.

The blocks are in the Ceará and Potiguar basins in the Equatorial Conjugate Margin offshore Brazil and are operated by ExxonMobil Exploração Brasil Ltda.

AziBras Exploração de Petróleo e Gás Ltda. will assume the OGX working interest in the two licenses following the approval of the Agencia Nacional do Petroleo, Gas Natural e Biocombustiveis - ANP.

Petroleum Geo-Services A.S.A. is shooting a 1,100 sq km (425 sq mi) of 3D seismic survey on block CE-M-603, already under way, and a 1,000-sq km (386-sq mi) 3D survey in block POT-M-475 is expected to commence in 1Q 2016.
