US offshore rig count takes jump

HOUSTON Baker Hughes Weekly Rig Count has found an increase of three rigs operating offshore the US. The total has reached 33 with the three added rigs. This is 32 rigs below the same time last year.

The total US rig count has dropped 13 to 864. This is 1,061 fewer than last year.

The Canadian count by Baker Hughes is down nine rigs from the past week, hitting 187. This is 227 fewer than the same time last year.
