Odfjell to drill Maria subsea wells offshore Norway

BERGEN, Norway – Wintershall has contracted Odfjell Drilling to for development drilling at the Maria project in the Norwegian Sea.

The semisub Deepsea Stavanger will drill and complete six production wells on two templates at Maria field starting April 2017. The contract has options for additional wells. Water depth is around 300 m (984 ft).

Estimated duration of the $175-million contract is 574 days. Options for further wells could boost the value by $98 million.
