SINGAPORE – Three new offshore supply vessels should be on their way from two yards in the Far East to the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.
Keppel Singmarine built the Numia Naryan-Mar in Singapore, while Keppel Nantong Shipyard constructed the Bumi Uray and Bumi Pokachi. All were classed by Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS).
They will operate for Lukoil at the V. Filanovsky and Yury Korchagin oil and gas condensate fields.
Bumi Uray and Bumi Pokachi, both assigned the RS class notation: КМ✪Arc4 AUT1-ICS FF3WS DYNPOS-2 supply vessel, are equipped with firefighting and oil spill response (OSR) equipment.
Bumi Naryan-Mar, assigned the RS class notation: КМ✪ Arc5 AUT1-ICS FF3WS DYNPOS-2 supply vessel, is designed for 24-hour service in support of production regions and rescue operations, including fire extinguishing, OSR, and other activities.
Its Arctic ice class Arc5 designation means it can operate year round in the region.
