PERTH, Australia – Quadrant Energy has contracted the Noble Tom Prosser jackup to drill the Roc-1 exploration well in the WA-437-P permit offshore Western Australia.

According to partner Carnarvon Petroleum (ASX:CVN), the rig sailed last Friday from Singapore and should arrive in Dampier this weekend.

It will first drill a well for Vermillion Energy at the Wandoo oil field before starting operations on Roc-1, probably in November. Drilling could take up to 60 days to complete.
