Erin Energy gets more time for offshore Kenya exploration

HOUSTON Erin Energy Corp. has received an 18-month extension of the initial exploration period (IEP) for blocks L27 and L28 offshore Kenya.

The extension of the IEP for the production-sharing contracts is effective as of Aug. 9, 2015. It has been extended to February 2017. The required work remaining includes the acquisition, processing, and interpretation of 3D seismic data on both blocks.

Erin Energy is the operator and has a 100% interest in both offshore blocks.
