Bureau Veritas acquires simulation specialist

NEUILLY-SUR-SEINE, France -- Bureau Veritas has acquired HydrOcean, an engineering company formed in 2007 in Nantes, western France, to provide hydrodynamic digital simulation for offshore structures and the maritime industry.

The company has co-developed digital simulation tools in partnership with École Centrale Nantes’ fluid dynamics laboratory.

Its services and simulation tools are said to help reduce the risks, time and costs associated with vessel and structural design.
