US offshore rig count down by two

HOUSTON
The US offshore drilling rig tally has dropped two rigs from the prior week, bringing the total to 30 in the Baker Hughes count. This compares to 36 rigs operating at this time a year ago.

The total US rig count dropped eight rigs to 877.

Canada’s total rig count over the corresponding time is down 12 to 196 versus 409 a year ago.
