Total awards Aquatic Moho Nord subsea contract

ABERDEEN, UK Aquatic Engineering and Construction Ltd., an Acteon company, has won a contract on the Moho Nord subsea project offshore the Republic of Congo.

The contract was awarded by a UK-based subcontractor working for Total E&P Congo. Aquatic’s 10-month campaign portion will mobilize in October.

Aquatic will supply reel drive systems, together with a team of supervisors and technicians that will operate the equipment hired for the duration of the operation. The company will help install 23 km (14 mi) of subsea flexible pipes and 50 km (31 mi) of umbilicals.

The Moho Nord subsea deepwater offshore project is located approximately 75 km (46 mi) off the coast of Pointe Noire and is the latest project being developed in the Moho-Bilondo license. The $10-billion project is expected to achieve 140,000 boe/d by 2017.

Since 2013, three other Acteon companies (2H Offshore, SRP, and UTEC Survey) have received work on the Moho Nord project.

Aquatic did not disclose the exact amount of the contract.
