Offshore staff

VIENNA, Austria – Exploration drilling continues in the Neptun block in the Romanian sector of the Black Sea, according to OMV.

The company and partner ExxonMobil have drilled and completed the Pelican South-1, Dolphin-1, Flamingo-1, and Califar-1 wells in their current campaign.

Results from these wells and data from forthcoming exploration activities will be used to evaluate the block’s potential.

OMV says it has also budgeted for high-impact exploration drilling later this year in the Norwegian Sea.

In the Norwegian North Sea, it expects further wells to come onstream at the Gullfaks and Gudrun fields following maintenance programs.
