Offshore eastern Russia field added to US sanctions list

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The US has added Yuzhno-Kirinskove field offshore Russia in the Okhotsk Sea to a list of sanctions as a response to Russian activity in Ukraine.

The field, operated by Gazprom, is going on the Entity List which means exports or transfers of oil from Yuzhno-Kirinskove will require a license from the US Commerce Department, and that such a license was unlikely added the Reuters report.
