Ocean Installer, PBJV to collaborate on subsea services in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR – Barakah Offshore Petroleum Berhad’s subsidiary, PBJV Group Sdn Bhd (PBJV), has signed a memorandum of collaboration with Ocean Installer Ltd. to work exclusively together in Malaysia to provide deepwater installation of subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines, and related services.

PBJV’s offshore business includes transportation and installation, pipeline pre-commissioning, commissioning, and decommissioning; and offshore platform major maintenance, and hook-up and commissioning. PBJV currently works mainly on installations of subsea infrastructures involving rigid pipelines and fixed platform structures in waters to 200 m (656 ft) in depth.

Ocean Installer provides subsea services for engineering, procurement, construction, and installation in the SURF segment but focuses on 200 m to 3,000 m (9,842 ft) water depths.
