CALGARY, CanadaIthaca Energy has issued an update on subsea and topsides construction for the Greater Stella Area development in the UK central North Sea.

Installation has been completed of the oil export pipeline from the FPF-1 semisubmersible platform’s riser base to the single anchor loading structures.

Contractor Technip is due to return in October for final pipeline tie-ins.

Final modifications to the platform continue at the Remontowa yard in Poland.  Petrofac, which is supervising activities, expects sail away in late March 2016.

Pipework pressure testing is advancing on the topsides processing and utility systems and electrical cable termination activities are nearing conclusion, after which the main commissioning phase can begin.

Temporary generators required for commissioning are ready on-site, hot oil flushing has started of package lube oil pipework, and site acceptance testing of the integrated control and safety system equipment is under way.
