Keppel O&M buys Cameron’s offshore rig business including LeTourneau designs

SINGAPORE Keppel Offshore & Marine USA has agreed to acquire Cameron International’s offshore rig business, including the LeTourneau jackup design, rig kit, and aftermarket services.

The $100-million agreement will allow Keppel to offer LeTourneau design rigs through Keppel’s shipyards.

The rig kit business encompasses jackup leg components, elevating units/jacking systems, and cantilever/skidding systems. Support equipment such as cranes and anchor winches are also in the rig kit list.

Keppel O&M has built 16 LeTourneau design rigs to date.
