Borgland Dolphin to drill for Wintershall offshore Norway

OSLO, Norway – The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has authorized Wintershall’s latest exploration program in the North Sea.

The semisubmersible Borgland Dolphin will drill well 35/11-18 in license PL248, 20 km (12.4 mi) northwest of the Fram field, after completing a current wildcat (well 6507/3-11 S) for E.ON E&P Norge.

This will be the second well on PL248, which was awarded in June 1999.
