Horizon Geosciences adds new vessel

SHARJAH, UAE – Horizon Geosciences has added the Kommandor Stuart vessel to its fleet.

The Kommandor Stuart is a multi-discipline DP-1 survey vessel that was rebuilt in 2006 to include a survey laboratory and offshore data processing.

It is fitted with a high-resolution 500-m (1,640-ft) range multi-beam echosounder, a low-frequency 3,000-m (9,842-ft) range multi-beam echosounder, a hull mounted sub-bottom profiler as well as side scan sonars and magnetometers.

Horizon said the vessel is dedicated primarily to North Sea and West Africa operations.
