Construction issues push back delivery of revamped Safe Scandinavia

Offshore staff

LARNACA, Cyprus – The conversion of the accommodation vessel Safe Scandinavia to a tender support vessel continues to experience delays, according to owner Prosafe.

Work is in progress at the Westcon yard in Ølensvåg, Norway. Prosafe now expects the vessel to start its contract for Statoil during 4Q.

Another of the company’s accommodation rigs, the Safe Astoria, has had its current contract offshore the Philippines extended to late August.
