KUALA LUMPUR
Carimin Engineering Services Sdn. Bhd. has a letter of award from Lundin Malaysia to perform topsides major maintenance offshore Malaysia.

The contract will be effective in 2017 and it has an option for a further one-year extension.

CES will provide topsides maintenance services based on work order issuance basis for Lundin’s wellhead platform (WHP) and FPSO at the Bertam oil field.

Bertam field is located offshore Peninsular Malaysia on block PM307 and was initially discovered in 1995 by the Bertam-1 well drilled by Petronas Carigali. PM307 was acquired by Lundin Malaysia in 2011.

First oil from the Bertam field started this past April, with production from four pre-drilled wells. The remaining production wells will be drilled sequentially and put onstream through the remainder of 2015.
