Bluewater Energy to build Rosebank FPSO turret and mooring

HOOFDDORP, the Netherlands Hyundai Heavy Industries has awarded Bluewater Energy Services a contract for the engineering, procurement, construction, and integration of a turret and mooring system for the Rosebank FPSO.

The Rosebank turret and mooring system will be one of the largest ever designed and built, said Bluewater, being about 80 m (262 ft) in height, with a process manifold/turntable of about 34 m (112 ft) in diameter.

The FPSO is to be moored 175 km (109 mi) northwest of the Shetlands in 1,100 m (3,608 ft) of water.
