Apache lifts North Sea well success rate

HOUSTON Apache Corp.’s 2Q UK North Sea production dipped by around 3,300 boe/d due to two substantial platform maintenance turnarounds.

Without this campaign, output would have risen on the previous quarter.

During the period the company also drilled eight new wells in the North Sea with a 90% success rate, well above its historical performance, including its first-ever subsea tieback exploration well in the Beryl area.
