Woodside taps Wood Group Kenny for Browse FLNG flowline FEED

Offshore staff

ABERDEEN, UKWood Group Kenny (WGK) will perform front-end engineering and design (FEED) for the proposed Browse floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) development offshore Western Australia, to be operated by Woodside.

Scope of work includes design engineering for the insulated production flowline system required for the Brecknock, Calliance, and Torosa gas/condensate fields 300 km from the Kimberly coast. WGK will perform the $6-million, 12-month contract from its office in Perth.

The main aim of the FEED is to develop engineering and design of the rigid flowline system to help the Browse partners take a final investment decision, which Woodside is targeting during the second half of 2016.

Earlier WGK’s completed preliminary engineering for the Browse flowline system during the basis of design phase.
