Wintershall targets hydrocarbons in Syrah offshore Norway

OSLO, Norway – Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has approved Wintershall’s plan to drill an exploration well on the Syrah prospect in the Norwegian North Sea.

The semisubmersible Borgland Dolphin will drill the well in production license 248. Drilling is expected to start in August and last 48 days, depending on the outcome.
