Subsea 7 to manage offshore Australia pipeline repairs

Offshore staff

LUXEMBOURG – Chevron Australia and INPEX have contracted Subsea 7 for engineering, procurement, and construction of an emergency pipeline repair system to be deployed offshore Australia.

This will support the Chevron-operated pipelines and INPEX’s Ichthys pipeline off Australia’s north and northwest coasts, in water depths of up to 1,350 m (4,429 ft) and diameters up to 44-in.

Subsea 7’s Perth office is responsible for project management, engineering and procurement, with support from the company’s intervention and autonomous system team in Aberdeen.

Site integration testing is expected to be completed by 2017.
