SMD delivers ROVs to COOEC

TIANJIN, China – COOEC Subsea Technology has taken delivery of three SMD Quantum work-class ROVs.

SMD won the contract to supply the Quantum MkIII 3,000 m (9,842 ft) -rated systems earlier this year. The contract included one 12 Te and two 15% launch and recovery systems, SMD DVECS-S controls for each ROV, plus spare part and support.

SMD said the DVECS-S control includes an advanced dynamic positioning system for hands-free hovering and navigation.
