Prosafe rigs find work in North Sea, offshore Philippines

LARNACA, Cyprus – Prosafe has issued an update on its offshore accommodation support rig fleet.

Safe Concordia has completed a five-year special periodic survey and upgrade works at the Maua Shipyard in Brazil. It has since re-started a contract for Petrobras.

Earlier this month, Safe Caledonia started providing support to BP at the Andrew field in the UK central North Sea.

’s contract to work for Shell Philippines Exploration at the Malampaya field has been extended by 15 days until mid-August.

Repairs have been completed to the Safe Bristolia at the Hanøytangen shipyard in Norway, and the rig is now working for BG International at the Everest field in the UK central North Sea.

Conversion continues of the Safe Scandinavia to a tender support vessel at the Westcon yard in Ølensvåg, Norway, although there have been delays. The vessel will now likely begin its contract for Statoil during 4Q.
