North Sea Huntington set for more secure gas deliveries

Offshore staff

STAVANGER, Norway – Noreco says the gas transportation agreement has been amended for the E.ON Ruhrgas-operated Huntington field in the UK central North Sea.

This should lead to improved certainty of gas export volumes from the field for the remainder of the CATS gas trunkline summer maintenance slowdown period, and also for the longer term.

Production from Huntington has been interrupted repeatedly due to issues with the CATS system.

From mid-July, Noreco also anticipates a three-to-four week shutdown at the DONG-operated Oselvar facilities in the southern Norwegian North Sea, due to planned maintenance at the host BP-operated Ula field complex.
